The so-called PSO Regulation (Regulation 1370/2007) sets the frame for the award of compensation and/or exclusive rights for the discharge of public service obligations in the field of public passenger transport services by rail and by road. Its provisions are therefore of key importance for the whole public transport sector in Europe.
For the 6th anniversary of the entry into force of Regulation 1370/07, and in the context of the adoption of the Fourth Railway Package which includes a proposal for a revision of the PSO Regulation, UITP is organising a Conference on the award of Public Service Contracts.
This conference will be the occasion to discuss and better understand the state of play and perspectives of Public Transport market opening.
Participants will be provided with an opportunity to discuss first-hand information with EU institutions representatives as well as main stakeholders.
