4 key reasons why you are with us in 2024
1
Indonesia is the biggest market in the Southeast Asia region with +280 million inhabitants who love to travel by bus and coach. Due to the lack of an extensive railway system in and outside the cities, buses and coaches are the means of public transport in the country. A growing market with still lots of business potential!
2
Use of public transport is rapidly increasing in Indonesia to counter congestion and air pollution issues. The Ministry of Transportation is heavily investing and promoting the use of new energy vehicles. The government has set a target to put 41,000 electric buses into operation by 2024. The city-owned bus operator-Great Jakarta’s Transjakarta has an ambitious plan to expand its e-bus fleet to 10,000 units by 2030. Business opportunities for the bus and coach industry are up for grabs!
3
To improve connectivity and logistics, the Indonesian government is massive building road infrastructure now. The government targets the length of toll roads from 2,386 km to 5103 km by 2024 and 18,800 km by 2030. The length of the Jakarta BRT system will be increased from 431 km to 2,149 km. Indonesia will spend $ 70 bn on toll roads to help connect the most strung-out country by 2024. The market of bus and coach will increase significantly because more people will choose to use public transportation as it is supported by adequate road infrastructure.
