In this scope, Dalgakıran Group Chairman of Board Adnan Dalgakıran, and Chairman of the Executive Board and Board Member Steven Young talk announced their goals for the upcoming period at the Vision 2030 meeting held with the participation of a wide stakeholder group.

Dalgakıran Group which is based in Turkey and continues its activities under the name of its premium brand ‘Hertz Kompressoren’ in various countries across the world, has set global pioneering targets within the scope of its 2030 vision in the 56th anniversary of its foundation; and has transferred Steven Young, one of Turkey’s most important professionals, into the group with goals of 1 billion dollars turnover and additional employment of 5 thousand people. Dalgakıran Group shared the new direction of capital in the world, digitalization, global trends, and the group’s future vision with its stakeholders from all over the world and Turkey, at Mandarin Oriental İstanbul. Dalgakıran Group Chairman of Board Adnan Dalgakıran explained the history of the company which is more than a half-century, and the new Chairman of the Executive Board of Dalgakıran Group and Board Member Steven Young talked about the future vision of the company at the “Vision 2030” meeting, which was held with the participation of Deputy Minister of Technology and Industry Hasan Büyükdede and Deputy Minister of Trade Rıza Tuna Turagay.

Adnan Dalgakıran, the Chairman of Board of Dalgakıran Group, which is the biggest industrial compressor manufacturer and exporter of Turkey and has contributed to the national economy with its investments and breakthroughs for 56 years, said “We have full confidence that Steven Young, one of the most valuable professionals of our country, will set the bar he took over at Dalgakıran even higher. With his vast experience and knowledge in business life, Steven Young will contribute greatly to the commercial development of Dalgakiran Group in both domestic and international markets.”

International-scale giant transfer

Chairman of Board Adnan Dalgakıran, started his speech at the Vision 2030 meeting as “This is a meeting to make it into the global top five” and said, “What we do is the love of creating an assertive and strong brand in the world. We need new collaborations that will make very serious contributions to our knowledge and skills. A new organization was needed for our human resources that would inform us accurately at this point and perform this fight. At that point, we met with dear Steven Young. When I proposed to Steven Young, I thought beforehand: Would someone who has managed such a number of big companies, -there are not many such people- go into that kind of an adventurous field? Steven Young also did not think too long and we agreed on this in ten minutes. My life philosophy is, if the excitement ends, life ends. It is very important that the journey is as enjoyable and exciting as the goal itself. Because when you reach the goal, you set new ones so that the continuous journey will pass with excitement. Life is also a journey. As Dalgakıran Group, we have decided to grow together with Steven Young. We have goals for 2030. Those goals are to prove that this country can do this by giving Turkey a quite strong brand in the machinery and technology industries. This is also important to me; If I prove to this country that what we have been saying for 20-25 years can be done, I will feel quite happy. Together with Steven Young, we will march strongly towards our new goals.”

The goal: 1 billion dollars turnover; 5 thousand employments

Chairman of the Executive Board and Board Member Steven Young also said, “If we look at how technology has changed in the last 500-600 years and what awaits us, we will see that there is a rapid and devastating change. 52 percent of the companies on the Fortune 500 list in 2000 no longer exist. 41% of the companies in Turkey’s 2000 ISO 1000 list do not exist today. They are not just off the list, they do not exist. We do not have the luxury of staying behind the game. We place our vision in three key elements: “Branding”, “Our global footprint”, and “Technology”. As a result of this vision, Dalgakıran Group has a goal of making it into the global top 5 by 2030. Its exports will increase drastically. When the group achieves its goals, it will create at least 5,000 plus jobs. To put it numerically, we have a turnover target of 1 billion dollars. A world star is born from Turkey.”
