The initiative is part of Slovenia’s EU Cohesion Policy Programme 2021–2027, under the priority “Sustainable Urban Mobility,” and addresses the specific objective of promoting sustainable multimodal transport in urban areas.

The total value of the project is €11,567,519.30, with €3.5 million funded by the European Union. The new vehicles will replace older diesel buses, enabling continuous provision of public transport services while reducing emissions and improving air quality in the city.
