Karsan, an established global brand in public transportation, closed 2024 with a turnover of 296 million euros, sales of 540 electric vehicles, and a 28 percent increase in profit. Karsan’s CEO, Okan Bash, stated that the company accounted for 82% of Turkey’s electric public transport exports to Europe over the past five years.

He added: “In 2024, we achieved 8th place in the European market ranking and a 4.5% market share. There are countries in Europe where we are in the top 5. Even in Italy, Romania, Portugal, and Switzerland, we are in 3rd place; in France and Austria, we are in the top 4. Karsan e-ATAK, with a 29% market share, and e-JEST, with a 37% market share, achieved significant success by maintaining their leadership in their segments in Europe for the fifth consecutive year.”

Okan Bash emphasized that Karsan’s goal for 2025 is to become a key player in the electric public transport market. He explained that in 2025, the company will strengthen its position in electric mobility. Their goal is a 30% growth, sales of 700 electric vehicles, and achieving a global fleet of 2,200 electric vehicles. With this growth, Karsan will increase its total turnover to 350-400 million euros and the turnover from electric vehicles to 200-250 million euros.

Karsan’s CEO noted that in 2025, the company will diversify its product range in the areas of electric, autonomous, and hydrogen vehicles, expand its market opportunities, and introduce innovations that will change the sector. He also emphasized that even though they have a full product range, they never stop. 2025 will be a year in which they will invest in new products and advanced technologies for Karsan.
