Karsan is the Market Leader of Electric Minibuses in Europe
Karsan’s fully-electric model Jest Electric became the market leader of Europe by achieving a 43 percent market share in its own class in 2020. First introduced to the European market and achieving a 24 percent market share in its own segment in 2019, now Jest Electric’s market share has reached 43 percent by 2020. This way, Jest Electric managed to become the leader of the European market in 2020 by surpassing its competitors in the 3.5-6 ton electric minibus class.
Launched by Karsan in 2018 Jest Electric, the first electric model of the brand that has been on the roads since the beginning of 2019, keeps ahead of the game with significant sales figures in the European market achieved within two years. First introduced to the European market and achieving a 24 percent market share in its own segment in 2019, now Jest Electric’s market share has reached 43 percent by 2020. According to the 2020 European Minibus and Bus Market Report published by Wim Chatrou – CME Solutions, Jest Electric became the leader of the European market in 2020 by surpassing its competitors in the 3.5 – 6 ton electric minibus segment. Distinguished by the experience of Karsan and electrical batteries equipped with BMW i technology, Jest Electric provides transport services in various European countries such as Romania and France, as well as Germany, Switzerland, Portugal, Italy, and Spain. In addition to its unique dimensions, Karsan’s investments in distribution and post-sales services also contributed to this significant achievement of Jest Electric in the small buses segment.

Jest Electric offers a range of 210 km with its high maneuverability
A proven performer which comes with high maneuverability and unmatched passenger comfort, Jest Electric is equipped with a BMW electric motor capable of 180 HP power and 290 Nm torque with optional 44 or 88 kWh batteries, also made by BMW. Offering the best performance in the 6-meter bus class with a range of up to 210 km, small city bus Jest Electric also boasts a regenerative braking system which provides energy recovery by enabling the batteries to self-recharge at a rate of 25%. Decorated with a 10.1-inch multimedia touchscreen, fully digital dashboard, keyless go, and USB ports as well as an optional WiFi compatible infrastructure, Jest Electric does not come short in terms of comfort compared to passenger cars thanks to its 4-wheel independent suspension system.
