Indian manufacturer JBM is preparing to reveal a battery-electric bus designed specifically for the European market, following its earlier appearances at Busworld 2023 and Bus2Bus 2024. We anticipated in late 2024 the launch, scheduled for 2025, of a new e-bus model for Europe. A new e-coach will come at Busworld.

JBM new electriic bus at UITP Summit
JBM Electric Vehicles, a division of the India-based JBM Group, has indeed confirmed that the 12-meter electric bus will be available for order immediately following the UITP debut, with customer deliveries set to begin in January 2026. The vehicle has been designed with key adaptations for European operational contexts, including the integration of recognizable European components such as axles, doors, and a driver’s console familiar to regional operators.
A few details have already been disclosed. The vehicle — branded ECO-Life e12 — will come equipped with a 424 kWh LFP battery pack and feature standard ADAS functionality, as well as compliance with all GSR and cybersecurity requirements.
JBM reportedly plans to offer additional variants in 10-meter and 18-meter formats following the launch. A digital mirror replacement system will be standard equipment, though current design visuals still show conventional mirrors.
