Irizar e-mobility
In 2014, Irizar became the first European factory of its sector to provide two 100% electric vehicles to Barcelona as part of the ZeEUS project, it also supplied San Sebastian with its first unit.
In 2015, the first units were provided to London, Marseilles and the metropolitan area of Barcelona, and tests were carried out in several European cities.
In 2016, supply was finalised for 6 units to Marseilles for the first fully electric line in France, and further units were supplied to San Sebastian and Bilbao. The first articulated bus unit was manufactured and has already undergone 6 months of durability tests in IDIADA (Tarragona).
The portfolio for 2017 has already risen to 15 buses and 12 metros to be delivered in the coming months, in addition to the 18 articulated buses of this contract with the Agglomeration of the Basque-Adour Coast.
Irizar e-mobility offers comprehensive electromobility solutions, as much for vehicles, as for its major city components and systems.
It combines the knowledge and experience of all the Group’s companies to create comprehensive urban mobility solutions: 100% electric buses and the major infrastructure systems required for charging, traction and energy storage. All of which are designed and manufactured with 100% of the Group’s European technology, and with Irizar’s warranty and service quality.
The product range includes 10.8m and 12m city buses, which have been operating since 2014 in various European cities, articulated or bi-articulated buses and other electric vehicles to serve the cities.

The modern Irizar e-mobility plant is situated in the town of Aduna (Guipúzcoa) – Spain.
In this way Irizar is committed, once again, to the growth and generation of wealth and employment in its surroundings, in line with its mandate.
It has constructed an area of 18,000m2 within a 37,000m2 plot. Here, not only will electric buses be manufactured, but also other vehicles which meet the needs of electromobility in the cities, along with its major components and systems.
