For Indcar it is a great pleasure to be part of Busworld 2015. This fair allows us to consolidate our international strategy and present one of the largest range of mini- and midi buses of Europe. Build on chassis of the leading the manufacturers like: IVECO, MAN and MERCEDES BENZ.
Throughout 2015 Indcar has also been present at the following international exhibitions:
- Bus Exhibition in Tampere, Finland.
- RDA Cologne, Germany.
- Coach and Bus Live at Birmingham .UK
- Rencontres Nationales du Transport Public in Lyon, France
This international presence reflects our strategy to present our products in the major countries of Europe, in order to confirm our commitment to the European markets.
As a result of this international strategy, we can now make a positive balance of 2015. Besides that we see some recovery at sales over the last four years in Europe.
2015 has started the best way possible.
In January, the new Indcar model Next received the award for the best midi coach in Spain, awarded by the prestigious magazine “Viajeros”.
During this year net sales will be around € 28M.
Please note that turnover is only of bodies, since the chassis are supplied by our dealer network and Indcar not primarily conduct sales of complete vehicles.
Thanks to good sales in 2015, the company continues to consolidate as one of the most important European manufacturers specialized in the range of mini- and midi buses
By the end of 2015, Indcar will have produced 450 units, of which 20% will be for the domestic market and 80% for different countries in the European Union.
For Indcar, the main foreign markets has been this year: France 63% (including La Reunion, New Caledonia), Italy 18%, Scandinavian 14% (Sweden – Norway and Finland)
Uk 4%, other countries about 1%.
The foreign markets are the basis of our growth and year after year we keep consolidating our market share, thanks to the dealers and commercial organizations we have in the most important European countries like France, Italy, the United Kingdom and Scandinavia.
After Indcar did some big investments to develop a complete new range of bodies on Euro 6 chassis in 2014, the goals for 2015 have been reached: sales volume increased by around 35%.
Thanks to the increasing sales volume and the introduction of the new Indcar model Next, the production staff on the two production sites has grown with more than 40%. Today, Indcar employs over 200 people.
Last July, the new commercial director, Jordi Vilardell started his mission to further develop the company’s internal strategy to expand the sales network.
The sales on the international market has been very successful during the last year. Our representatives sold in 2015:
-France 126 model units NEXT
-Italy with 30 units of the model
-Sweden with more than 46 units MOBI and STRADA model.
-Norway with 14 units of the model MOBI and STRADA
Following our intention to internationalize the company, Indcar wants to be closer to the customers, in order to be able to meet their requirements.
In 2015, we will be the first bodybuilder of mini- and midi buses that is a member of the Global Passenger Network, a group representing the leading engine works and travel companies in the world.
Indcar will continue to work on this strong international commitment during the coming years. In this way, the company will consolidate its position in the mini- and midibus market.
Regarding the other two group companies we want to emphasize the following:
Since the production at the Romanian plant has started in 2013, this year shows a significant growth, reaching an annual output of more than 200 units. The staff has increased to over 90 people.
The Romanian facility has specialized in the manufacturing of the MOBI models and all the variations, such as low entry, intercity and urban.
Next to this Mobi a new STRADA has been developed, based on IVECO and MB.
The new plant allows to reinforce the growth strategy of the group and enables to deal with new business opportunities in Eastern Europe
During these two years, major efforts have been made to improve the plant in order to be able to produce a new range of products, to certify the plant production to ISO standards.
For 2016 Indcar aims for 250 units to be built in Romania. This new goal will consolidate the growth. At the same time the company will promote the range of products in the markets of eastern countries.
