EUROPART, Europe’s leading dealer for commercial vehicle parts and workshop equipment, presents its expanded range of bus products for all common vehicle classes at the Commercial Vehicles IAA 2014. It also takes this opportunity to introduce its newly designed catalogue for bus spare parts and accessories along with tools and workshop equipment specifically for bus workshops. In the process, EUROPART highlights its spare parts competence which encompasses a broad array of brands for trucks trailers and also for buses.

The new, 784 page catalogue includes a comprehensive range of more than 5,000 articles suitable for all common urban buses and tour buses. Workshops and fleet operators thus have access to all of the common parts for the most important bus models from European manufacturers such as Fast, Heuliez, Irisbus, Iveco, MAN, Mercedes-Benz, Neoplan, Scania, Setra, Solaris, Temsa, Van Hool, VDL and Volvo. These products are clearly arranged and presented with a colour picture and the corresponding order number. EUROPART has sorted the keyword index at the end of the catalogue by bus type in order to simplify identifying the right part.

The catalogue is also divided into helpful categories: engine and transmission, exhaust system, axles and steering, suspension, brake system, pneumatic system, lighting and electrical, heating-ventilation-air conditioning, frame-body-vehicle equipment and everything for the bus workshop. In addition to spare parts from renowned brands such as Bosch, Wabco, Knorr-Bremse, Haldex, Lemförder, LuK, ZF Sachs, Hengst, Hella, Mekra, and Varta, the new EUROPART bus spare parts catalogue also includes numerous articles from the EUROPART house brand.

Alongside the vehicle-specific consumables and spare parts, EUROPART has also added universal accessories and equipment such as fire extinguishers, transformers, emergency hammers, hazard lights, cool boxes or 24 V coffee machines to the catalogue. Separate chapters with a variety of different diagnostic, maintenance and repair devices for bus workshops along with special tools, chemical and technical products for workshops such as oil, grease, antifreeze, brake fluid or AdBlue® round out the comprehensive product range for EUROPART bus fleet customers. Furthermore, extensive articles provide readers with valuable information covering topics such as safety equipment in buses, the use of snow chains, maintaining high-voltage systems in hybrid buses or healthy seating.

EUROPART house brand products – Top value for money, perfect quality
EUROPART’s extensive range of house brand products forms another focal area of the EUROPART exhibition presentation. The company with its headquarters in Hagen offers customers looking for an alternative to original spare parts a selected range of consumables and wearing parts from its own house brand. “In recent years we have noticed an increasing demand for high quality alternatives. Namely, suitable parts with the same functionality and quality as the original parts above all in the wearing parts segment such as suspension parts, brakes, filters and electrical components. As a full-range provider, we also offer our customers the right solution for this segment with our EUROPART house brand products”, explains EUROPART CEO, Pierre Fleck, at the Commercial Vehicles IAA 2014.

Today, EUROPART’s house brand now consists of approximately 6,000 parts. In addition to consumables and workshop equipment such as chemical products, oils and tools, customers can also obtain parts for axles and brakes, suspension, engine accessories, lighting and electrical components along with a selection of equipment and accessories. These include brake discs and brake pads along with EUROPART brand products such as filters, pneumatic springs, windscreen wipers or water pumps. EUROPART cannot and does not intend to cover every spare parts segment with its house brand. Our product range focuses on parts with low technical complexity and high demand, such as wearing parts and consumables”, states Ralf Maurer, Commercial Director at EUROPART. “When selecting the products and the suppliers we ensure that our customers never have to make compromises with regard to the functionality of the products or their safety.” In addition to the very good Value for money, Ralph Maurer explains that another advantage lies in the Europe-wide availability which EUROPART can guarantee thanks to its dense network of 200 branches and sales offices in 27 European countries.

Reliable quality at competitive prices demands high level of competence when choosing products and supplies. “We assess which parts and products even come into question for our house brand by carrying out market analyses and evaluating the technical complexity”, states Sebastian Kamphaus, the man responsible for EUROPART’s house brand, explaining the process. “After the preliminary selection of suitable suppliers, we then audit the suppliers to the high standards of the automotive industry. The products have to pass sample inspections carried out by our Quality Management department. We are also supported by international, renowned and independent testing organisations such as TÜV and MPA.” EUROPART only includes the corresponding part in its house brand range once the supplier and the product have passed all of the tests and certifications. “After the product launch we continue to monitor the quality of the product and our supplier’s production”, emphasises Mr. Kamphaus. As China numbers are one the world’s most important sourcing markets for automotive spare parts, EUROPART opened its own office in Shanghai this year. In addition to a purchasing department, the company also maintains its own quality management team which implements the selection and quality assurance process for house brand products
