With more than 400 exhibitors, COMTRANS 2015, from September 8th to 12th in Moscow, is the largest and most important international commercial vehicle show this year. From the perspective of the exhibitors, there are many reasons to participate regularly in COMTRANS.
“This will be our third year taking part in COMTRANS in Moscow,” says Stefanie Lutze, Spokeswoman for the turbo and exhaust system manufacturer Borgwarner. “Due to the excellent response to our participation in 2011 and 2013, we are represented again this year with a stand and will be showing our latest solutions in the fields of turbocharging, exhaust gas recirculation as well as fan and diesel cold-start technology.”
Truck, bus, van and trailer manufacturers, system suppliers and component manufacturers, parts manufacturers and tire manufacturers, telematics providers and financial services – the range of exhibitors at the COMTRANS commercial vehicle show in Moscow reflects all facets of the commercial vehicle industry.
Contacts to fleet operators and vehicle manufacturers
Many new contacts, constructive discussions, a large number of specific questions in the wake of the trade fair, as well as the quality of the professional visitors make many exhibitors come back again and again to COMTRANS. “During our first participation at COMTRANS 2013, our booth was always very well attended. There were many good discussions and specific inquiries at the trade fair. This year, COMTRANS. is the most important trade fair for us,” says Elisabeth Egger, Spokeswoman for the dump truck manufacturer Meiller.
Not only transport companies and fleet operators are the focus of the exhibitors, as Lothar Bucher, Market Development Manager Trade at commercial vehicle mirror and camera manufacturer Mekra Lang, explains: “From COMTRANS 2015, we expect new contacts to car manufacturers, but also to new customers in the aftermarket range, preferably in the Asian part of Russia. “And Jochen Geiger, Sales Director of Witzenmann, manufacturer of flexible piping and tubing joints, adds: “We like to use COMTRANS to make our products known in Russia and other Eastern European countries, as well as to establish and deepen contacts with manufacturers of engines, exhaust systems and vehicle manufacturers. Our particular focus is on helping our customers comply with more stringent emission standards.”
For their presence at COMTRANS, both Mekra Lang and Witzenmann are taking advantage once again this year of the German Pavilion, which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics. For Lothar Bucher of Mekra Lang, not only the funding but also the organization is an overall argument for their participation in the German Pavilion: “All COMTRANS fairs were very well organized and the response was very big. Bucher appreciates the presence of all major international and regional vehicle manufacturers at COMTRANS.
Leading trade fair for the commercial vehicle industry
All major truck, transporter, bus and trailer manufacturers will be represented at COMTRANS in 2015, as well. In the European commercial vehicle industry, the Moscow exhibition has been firmly established in the exhibition calendar as the leading international trade fair after the IAA. Increased exhibitor and visitor numbers as well as increased international recognition show that COMTRANS has noticeably gained importance in recent years. It is now considered the largest and most important meeting place of the commercial vehicle industry in Eastern Europe.
